As parents, teachers, and other adult figures we see typical developing children run, play, make friends, and many other activities that we think are normal for every child, but what about the child who doesn't participate in these activities? Some of these children are children with special needs. We want these children to participate and lead a normal life as much as possible. The first step to make this happen is in the classroom. We don’t want these children to feel left out or that they different, that they can’t do the same activities that typical developing children do. It is important that they feel the same sense of accomplishment that any other person feels. As educators we want every child to succeed, and feel that they can do the things that they want.
